Editors' recap: Packed with features and the Symbian OS, these two smart phones busted more moves than the Harlem Globetrotters. What started as an even matchup turned into a landslide that buried the P800. The Nokia danced around the Sony Ericsson and burned tracks down the court, victorious at 69 to 31.

The fans sound off:
  • "The matchup we've all been waiting for--too bad it couldn't happen in the championship....I gotta go with the P800. Although the 3650 has a video camera, it is pretty weak, and the P800's digicam has a better resolution than the 3650's. All that leaves Nokia is style, which is arguably challenged by the P800 package. At the end of the day, I can dump my iPaq and carry only the P800, with a stylus and a touch screen. The P800 pulls away in the fourth quarter...who's next?"
  • "I prefer the Nokia 3650. It is surprisingly easy to use, and I took to it like a fish to water. Using the video camera was a breeze! Although it is larger than the P800, it looks really cool and brings out more oohs and ahs when I go out with it. I like the attention it gives me!"
  • "Seriously, having played with both of these phones, my choice is based on use and feel and not the company I work for since my husband works for the other company. I know the P800 looks boxy, but it's not. And the 3650 is just hard to dial while driving. That's why I prefer the P800."
  • "The Sony Ericsson P800 seems to have a larger screen, a nicer keyboard layout, and the traditional phone look. Nokia 3650 looks too strange, and the keypad seems to be difficult to use."
  • "The Nokia 3650 is not a brick like the P800. Also, a big screen makes games look better."
  • "As it stands right now, the 3650 but later it will be the P800. The 3650 has all the useful apps in place, while the P800 is playing catch-up...the 3650 is NOW, the P800 will be later."
  • "The Nokia 3650 is a clear differentiator and the winner here. The Sony Ericsson P800 is ugly and looks like a regular phone that has been inflated by a bicycle pump and is just about to explode and collapse."
  • "While both phones come with way too many bells and whistles of questionable value, at least the Nokia stands out with its in-your-face design."
  • "The 3650 might have a slight edge in video capability, but the P800 is much more advanced technologically and is constantly being upgraded; the P800 you have now might be different from the one you have three to four months down the line (if the firmware is updated regularly)."
  • "A great display, a cool keypad, and Bluetooth, to boot--what more could you ask for in a phone? Is there nothing this phone can't do? It has been able to do everything that I need and more. How about those short videos?"
  • "This is a nice contest, but the P800 has more applications than most people will figure out how to use, expandable memory (Sony's Memory Stick), a built-in camera, good battery life, and a larger display. It's a clear winner in a tight matchup."
  • "The P800's touch screen is light years ahead of the Nokia 3650's. Out of the box, the 3650 is no match for Sony Ericsson's P800."
  • "The 3650 is a cracking phone but does not have USB. How can I connect it to my desktop PC?"
  • "My vote goes to the P800, which I can connect to my desktop PC, then synchronize my calender and download photos."
